Vision

Shalom Alaikum is devoted to bridging the cultural gap between Muslims and Jews through shared social experiences. Through our social events, Jews are able to meet Muslim refugees on one hand, while on the other hand, refugees have the possibility to meet Jewish people (apart from the board members) for the first time. Through such encounters negative preconceptions of one another can be diminished and familiarities can be discovered.

We also have certain projects, which concentrate on integration into the Austrian society, while others are projects such as clothing bazaars and free vaccinations, which are intended to facilitate the challenges of obtaining basic needs.
